Let \(H\) denote minus the Laplace operator for a Riemannian manifold of dimension \(n \geq 2\). The purpose of this article is to study the wave equation \[ \partial ^2_tu+Hu=0,\;u(0)=u_0(z),\;\partial _tu(0)=u_1(z), \tag{*} \] where \(u\) is a complex-valued function of two variables. In the paper, global-in-time Strichartz estimates on asymptotically conic manifolds obeying a nontrapping condition. The main theorem concerns Strichartz estimates for a nonhomogeneous form of (*). The proof uses a Strichartz estimate for a Schrödinger equation. Several global existence theorems for nonlinear wave equations are proved as corrolaries.
