The stability of adaptations of Runge-Kutta methods for systems of delay differential equations (DDEs) is investigated. In order to adapt a given Runge-Kutta method to DDEs, an interpolation procedure is required. The stability of the three main types of interpolation, namely Hermite interpolation, interpolation procedures used in continuous Runge-Kutta methods and interpolation procedures introduced by the author [BIT 32, No. 4, 634-649 (1992; Zbl 0765.65069), Ann. Numer. Math. 1, No. 1-4, 323-334 (1994; Zbl 0837.65087) and IMA J. Numer. Anal. 17, No. 1, 17-27 (1997; reviewed below)] to adapting Runge-Kutta methods to DDEs is investigated.
