This is a review report devoted to one of the approaches to non-stationary Navier-Stokes equations in a three-dimensional domain \(\Omega\) with Dirichlet boundary data \(u=0\) on \(\partial \Omega\). The author discusses how to show that the given weak solution \(u \in L^{\infty}(0,T;L^2(\Omega) \cap L^2(0,T;W_0^{1,2}(\Omega))\) is a strong one in the sense of J. Serrin, i.e., \(u \in L^s(0,T;L^q(\Omega))\) where \(s>2\), \(q>3\) and \(\frac 2s+\frac 3q=1\). The author discuss local solutions of the problem in time intervals \((T',T'+\varepsilon)\). Further review deals with the energy (in-)equality, uniqueness of weak solutions, blow-up phenomena and the analysis in critical spaces for the whole space case.
