The authors introduce a new polar representation for the Hamiltonian quaternions which differs from the Cayley-Dickson representation. The quaternions are represented in the form \(q=Ae^{Bj}\) with complex numbers \(A,B\in\mathbb R\oplus\mathbb Ri\). The use of such a representation has yet to be substantiated.
