Asymptotic integration and dispersion for hyperbolic equations (Q981960)

The paper refers to the Cauchy problem for an \(m\)-th order strictly hyperbolic equation with homogeneous symbols and with time-dependent coefficients. Using an asymptotic integration method, representation formulae for solutions of the stated Cauchy problem in form of oscillatory integrals are derived. A large analysis of these representation formulae is presented, estimates for the oscillatory integrals are shown and dispersive estimates for the solutions are obtained.
