The authors consider a closed-loop linear dynamic system with controls described by the equations \[ \dot x = Ax + Bu,\quad y=Cx,\quad u = Kx+k_gg, \tag{1} \] where \(x\in \mathbb R^n\) is the state, \(u\in\mathbb R^m\) is the input, \(y\in\mathbb R^q\) is the output of the system, \(g\) is a control effect, and \(K, k_g\) are the coefficient matrices of the control rule. The control system is part of a more general one, in which the modification of the parameters \(K, k_g\) at changes of the operating mode of the control object (i.e. the elements of the matrices \(A\) and \(B\)) is executed, if the quality parameters of the vector \(y\) do not satisfy given requirements. For a realization of the given requirements, the structure of the general system is introduced through the reference model (RM), which is described by equations similar to \[ \dot x_m = A_mx_m + B_mu_m,\quad y_m=C_mx_m, \quad u_m = K_mx_m+k_{gm}g. \] The evaluation of the quality of the control processes is executed by comparison of the chosen coordinates of the system and of the RM. The iterations and conditions for attaining the desired quality are studied. A control algorithm is designed and an example is given to illustrate its operation in a concrete system.
