    Let \(H^ \omega_ p\) be the Nikol'skij-type space of functions \(f(x)\in L^ p(0,1)\) such that \[ \int^{1-h}_ 0| f(x+ h)- f(x)| dx\leq(\omega(h))^ p \] and let \(J^ \alpha_ +\) be the Riemann- Liouville fractional integration operator, \(0< \alpha< 1\). In connection with the problem of the characterization of the range \(J^ \alpha_ +(H^ \omega_ p)\), the authors prove the following result for some subspaces in \(H^ \omega_ p\). Let \(\mu H^ \omega_ p\) be the subspace in \(H^ \omega_ p\) which consists of functions \(f(x)\), such that \[ \left(\int^ x_ 0| f(t)|^ p dt\right)^{1/p}\leq c\omega(x);\tag{1} \] \[ \left(\int^ 1_ x| f(t) t^{\mu-1}|^ p dt\right)^{1/p}\leq c\omega (x)x^{\mu-1}.\tag{2} \] The characteristic function \(\omega(x)\) is assumed to satisfy the assumptions: it is continuous, positive for \(x> 0\), \(\omega(0)= 0\), almost everywhere increasing and \[ \int^ x_ 0 \frac{\omega(t)}{t} dt\leq c\omega(x),\;\int^ 1_ x\frac{\omega(t)}{t^{2-\alpha}} dt\leq c \frac{\omega(x)}{x^{1- \alpha}}. \] Then the operator \(J^{\alpha}_ +\) maps the subspace \(^ \alpha H^ \omega_ p\) onto the subspace \(^{-\alpha} H^{\omega_ \alpha}_ p\), where \(\omega_{\alpha}(x)= x^ \alpha \omega(x)\).
