The paper is devoted to Riemann integrability and its interplay with the differentiability of functions defined on \([a,b] \subset \mathbb R\) and taking values in a quasi-Banach space \(X\). After a detailed survey on the subject, the authors prove a number of interesting facts. For instance, Theorem~2.1, in particular, asserts that, if \(X\) is a non-locally convex quasi-Banach space and \(E\) is a Köthe F-space on \(L_0(\mu,X)\) for a non-purely atomic scalar measure \(\mu\), then no continuous linear operator \(\mathcal{I}: E \to X\) satisfies \(\mathcal{I}(x \cdot \chi_A) = x \mu(A)\) for all \(x \in X\) and all \(\mu\)-measurable sets \(A\). Theorem~2.3 shows that the Riemann integral for a non-locally convex quasi-Banach space \(X\) cannot possess the inequality \(\left\|\int_a^b f\right\| \leq C \|f\|_\infty\) for all step functions \(f:[a,b] \to X\) and some constant \(C < \infty\). In Section~3, the authors introduce the notion of an analytic function \(f:[a,b] \to X\) of order \(r \in (0, +\infty)\) which is less restrictive than to be analytic. By Theorem~3.8, if \(X\) is a \(p\)-Banach space with \(0 < p < 1\), then every analytic function of order \(r > 1/p\) is Riemann integrable and \(F' = f\) on \([a,b]\), where \(F(t) = \int_a^t f\) is differentiable at each point \(t \in [a,b]\). The last two sections are devoted to the investigation of Barrow's rule for the Riemann integral and Lebesgue's differentiation theorems for the integral in the sense of \textit{D. Vogt} [Math. Ann. 173, 219--232 (1967; Zbl 0159.42601)].
