A nonempty class \(\mathcal F\) of \(\ell\)-groups is called radical if it is closed under (i) convex \(\ell\)-subgroups; (ii) \(\ell\)-isomorphisms; (iii) the union of any number of convex \(\ell\)-subgroups in \(\mathcal F\). In Czech. Math. J. 29(104), 11-12 (1979; Zbl 0432.06011), \textit{W.~Ch.~Holland} proved that the varieties of \(\ell\)-groups are radical classes of \(\ell\)-groups. In the article under review, the author proves that there exists a continuum of different quasivarieties of \(\ell\)-groups which are not radical classes of \(\ell\)-groups.
