The Modular Zilber-Pink with derivatives (MZPD) conjecture is a Zilber-Pink type statement for the modular \(j\)-function and its derivatives. The main results of this article are various functional/differential analogues of the MZPD conjecture. The author gives a differential algebraic proof of a weak form of Zilber-Pink Conjecture which was first proved using o-minimality by \textit{J. Pila} and \textit{J. Tsimerman} [Duke Math. J. 165, No. 13, 2587--2605 (2016; Zbl 1419.11093)]. In these variants of MZPD, the type of special varieties (called \(D\)-special varieties) that they deal with are more general than the \(j\)-special varieties. Nevertheless, these results do imply a weak version of the MZPD conjecture and a functional form of the André-Oort Conjecture with derivatives (see [\textit{H. Spence}, Proc. Edinb. Math. Soc., II. Ser. 62, No. 2, 323--365 (2019; Zbl 1443.11114)]). The author proves a differential version of MZPD using complex analytic geometry and a functional version of MZPD using model theoretic differential algebra (modulo the proof of Ax-Schanuel, which is not differential algebraic). However, he also shows that the differential version can be deduced from the functional version hence, in effect, proving the differential MZPD using different techniques.
