A quasi \(^*\)-algebra \((\mathfrak{A}, \mathfrak{A}_0)\) is a pair consisting of a vector space \(\mathfrak{A}\) and a \(^*\)-algebra \(\mathfrak{A}_0\) contained in \(\mathfrak{A}\) as a subspace satisfying \begin{itemize} \item [(i)] \(\mathfrak{A}\) carries an involution \(a\mapsto a^*\) extending the involution of \(\mathfrak{A}_0\); \item [(ii)] \(\mathfrak{A}\) is a bimodule over \(\mathfrak{A}_0\) and the module multiplications extend the multiplication of \(\mathfrak{A}_0\). In particular, the following associative laws \[(xa)y=x(ay), \;\;a(xy)=(ax)y\] hold for any \(a\in \mathfrak{A}\) and \(x, y\in \mathfrak{A}_0\); \item [(iii)] \((ax)^*=x^*a^*\) for any \(a\in \mathfrak{A}\) and \(x\in \mathfrak{A}_0\). \end{itemize} A quasi \(^*\)-algebra \((\mathfrak{A}, \mathfrak{A}_0)\) is called a normed quasi \(^*\)-algebra if a norm \(\| \cdot \|\) is defined on \(\mathfrak{A}\) with the properties \begin{itemize} \item [(i)] \(\|a^*\|=\|a\|\) for any \(a\in \mathfrak{A}\); \item [(ii)] \(\mathfrak{A}_0\) is dense in \(\mathfrak{A}\); \item [(iii)] for every \(x\in \mathfrak{A}_0\), the map \(R_x:\mathfrak{A}\to\mathfrak{A}\), \(a\mapsto ax\), is continuous in \(\mathfrak{A}\). \end{itemize} If \((\mathfrak{A}, \| \cdot \|)\) is a Banach space, then \((\mathfrak{A}, \mathfrak{A}_0)\) is called a Banach quasi \(^*\)-algebra. In the paper under review, the authors investigate the unbounded derivations and \(^*\)-auto\-mor\-phisms group of Banach quasi \(^*\)-algebras. It is shown that every inner qu\(^*\)-derivation (i.e., which can be written for fixed \(h\in \mathfrak{A}\), as \(\delta_h=i[h,x]\) with \(x\in\mathfrak{A}_0\)) is closable. Weak \(^*\)-automorphisms of Banach quasi \(^*\)-algebras are introduced and some properties of the generator of a one-parameter group of weak \(^*\)-automorphisms are presented. Some results are applied to compute the one-parameter group generated by an inner qu\(^*\)-derivation.
