Factorizations of almost simple groups with a factor having many nonsolvable composition factors (Q2414551)

The authors classify the factorizations of almost simple groups with a factor having at least two nonsolvable composition factors. In [``Factorizations of almost simple groups with a solvable factor, and Cayley graphs of solvable groups'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:1408.0350}] of the same authors, factorizations of almost simple groups with a solvable factor are classified. These two classification results then reduce the factorization problem of almost simple groups to the case where both factors have a unique nonsolvable composition factor.
