The spectrum of the Dirac operator on \(SU_{2}/Q_{8}\) (Q2480759)

The author computes the fundamental Dirac operator for the 3-parameter family of homogeneous Riemannian metrics and the four different spin structures on \(\text{SU}_2/Q_8\) where \(Q_8\) denotes the group of quaternions. The spectrum for the Berger metrics is determined, and the sharpness of the Bär upper bound for the smallest Dirac eigenvalue in the case when \(\text{SU}_2/Q_8\) is a homogeneous minimal hypersurface in \(S^4\) is established.
