Motivated by an inequality of \textit{Z. Opial} [Ann. Pol. Math. 8, 29--32 (1960; Zbl 0089.27403)], the author of this research paper proves various \(L_p\) form Opial-type inequalities for semigroups. Also, some applications in the study of the classical diffusion differential equation are considered.
