The author uses additive maps \(g_p\) and \(h_p\) (\(1\leqq p\leqq n\)) from \(\mathbb{Z}\) into a field \(F\) of characteristic 0 to define a Lie bracket on the standard basis \(\{\binom{a_1}{i_1}\cdots\binom{a_n}{i_n}_k\mid a_1,\dots,a_n,i_1,\dots,i_n\in\mathbb{Z}, 1\leqq k\leqq n\}\). The resulting generalized Witt algebra \(W(g_p ,h_p ,n)\) over \(F\) is a generalization of the algebras \(W(g_p,n)\) [the author, Bull. Korean Math. Soc. 36, 233-238 (1999; Zbl 1072.17508)] (which are algebras \(W(g_p,h_p,n)\) with \(h_p\) the inclusion map). Parallel to this construction is one for Hamiltonian algebras \(\overline{H(g_{2n},h_{2m},2n)}\). Both types of algebras are simple if \(g_p\) and \(h_p\) are injective, and they have no ad-diagonal elements with respect to the standard basis.
