Let \((R, \mathfrak{m},k)\) be a noetherian local ring, \(M\) a finitely generated \(R\)-module and \(I\) an \(\mathfrak{m}\)--primary \(R\)--ideal. Let \({\mathbf{F}}=\{F_{i}, \partial_{i}^{{\mathbf{F}}}\}\) be a free resolution of \(M\). The question of interest in this paper is whether a uniform bound \(h\) can be found such that \(I^{n}{\mathbf{F}}_{i-1} \cap \text{ ker}(\partial_{i}^{\mathbf{F}}) \subset I^{n-h}\text{ ker}(\partial_{i}^{\mathbf{F}})\) for all \(i \geq 1\) and all integers \(n >h\). The author answers the question positively for rings of dimension one (section \(5\)) and dimension two (section \(6\)). A module \(M\) for which these inclusions hold is called \textit{syzygetically Artin--Rees} of level \(h\) with respect to \(I\). In section \(2\) the author proves that if \(R\) is a Cohen--Macaulay ring then \(M\) is syzygetically Artin--Rees. This result holds in any dimension. The author studies the annihilators of \(\text{ Tor}_{j}^{R}(M, R/I^{n})\) and utilizes these results to prove the dimension one and two cases.
