The Kähler with torsion (KT) connection is the unique Hermitian connection on a Hermitian manifold whose torsion tensor is totally skew-symmetric. If the holonomy of the KT connection is reduced to \(SU(n)\), the Hermitian structure is said to be Calabi-Yau with torsion (a.k.a. CYT). The main result here states that after a homogeneous deformation of the complex structure any compact complex homogeneous space with vanishing first Chern class admits CYT structures if it admits a volume form, invariant under some transitive Lie group of transformations. Moreover the CYT metric can be chosen to be invariant under the same group. Notice that by a result of \textit{D. Guan} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 354, No.~11, 4493--4504 (2002; Zbl 1050.53033)] a compact complex homogeneous space with invariant volume is a toric bundle over a product of a complex parallelizable space and a compact homogeneous Kähler space. The author also provides a characterization of the vanishing of the first Chern class, which allows the construction of explicit examples. He also considers the existence of CYT structures on \(C\)-spaces and compact complex parallelizable manifolds. A classification of compact complex homogeneous spaces in dimension three is provided and there the existence of a homogeneous CYT structure is determined. It is also proved that in dimension 14 there are infinitely many simply-connected non-flat CYT manifolds with same Betti and Hodge numbers and torsional Chern classes. Finally, a solution to Strominger's equations is presented.
