The main part of the paper contains the specialisation of the basic relations between orthogonal polynomials of hypergeometric type as well of a continuous as of a discrete variable to the case of Hermite, Krawtchuk, Laguerre and Meixner polynomials. Then the creation and annihilation operators corresponding to the normalized polynomials are constructed.
