Statistical systems in two dimensions seem always to produce at their critical point conformally invariant fractal structures with some universal features. Thanks to techniques from quantum gravity which are not yet mathematically rigorous, a universal equality \[ (D_{\text{EP}}-1)(D_{\text H}-1)=\frac{1}{4}, \] is established, where \(D_{\text{EP}}\) and \(D_{\text H}\) stand for the Haussdorff dimensions of the external perimeter and of the hull, respectively. For an immediate illustration, Brownian path in the plane, which may be seen as the product of a random walk under correct/critical scaling, has \(D_{\text{EH}}=4/3\) and \(D_{\text{H}}=7/4\). There is much more in the paper about those universal features in two dimensions. It looks also like a survey in the first sections introducing the concepts. This is the reason why we give below the table of contents. The paper always specifies whether proofs are complete and gives references if the question has been solved in particular cases. 2) Intersections of random walks. 3) Random walks and self-avoiding walks. 4) Conformal multifractality and the harmonic measure. 5) Percolation clusters. 6) General conformally scaling curves and higher multifractality. 7) Conformal invariance and quantum gravity. 8) Higher multifractal spectra. 9) Analysis of multifractal dimensions and spectra. 10) Geometric duality in \(O(N)\) and Potts cluster frontiers. 11) Relation to the \(\text{SLE}_k\) process.
