The semiconvergence of an extrapolated method induced by a regular splitting and by a nonnegative splitting is shown where the coefficient matrix is a singular \(M\)-matrix and an irreducible singular \(M\)-matrix, respectively. As special cases the generalized and block variants of the JOR, AOR, and SOR methods are examined.
