Let \(\mathbb{H}\) be the complex upper half plane and \(\Gamma_1(N)\) be a congruence subgroup of \(\text{SL}_2(\mathbb{Z})\) whose elements are congruent of \(\left( \begin{smallmatrix} 1 &*\\ 0 &1 \end{smallmatrix} \right)\bmod N\). The corresponding modular curve \(X_1(N)=\Gamma_1(N)\setminus\mathbb{H}^*\), where \(\mathbb{H}^*= \mathbb{H}\cup \{\text{cusps}\}\) has genus zero iff \(1\leq N\leq 10\) and \(N=12\). So, in these cases, the corresponding function field of \(X_1(N)\) is a rational function field \(\mathbb{C}(j_{1,N})\) generated by a normalized function with Fourier expansion \[ j_{1,N}= q^{-1}+0+ \sum_{k\geq 1}H_kq^k \Bigl|q:= e^{2\pi iz} \text{ and }z\subset \mathbb{H}. \] The authors prove recursion formulas for the Fourier coefficients \(H_k\)'s. The paper has some relation to the, so-called, monstrous function.
