Some new results on multivariate simplex B-splines are given based on results derived by Cohen et al. and the authors. First, some new recurrence relations are derived. Furthermore some remarks are presented about B-splines as finite-element functions. Finally an example of an application of B-splines is discussed for the case of a surface constrained by a differential equation.
