The authors consider the class KKM(\(X,Y\)) of multivalued maps \(T:X\multimap Y\) having the KKM property, which means that for every generalized KKM mapping \(F:X\multimap Y\) with respect to \(T\) (definition below) the family \(\{\overline{F(x)} : x\in X\}\) has the finite intersection property. They prove some fixed point theorems for the class KKM(\(X,X\)) on almost convex sets in the sense of \textit{C.~J.\ Himmelberg} [J.\ Math.\ Anal.\ Appl.\ 38, 205--207 (1972; Zbl 0225.54049)]. The fixed point theorem of \textit{M.~Lassonde} [J.\ Math.\ Anal.\ Appl.\ 152, No.~1, 46--60 (1990; Zbl 0719.47043)] for Kakutani factorizable multifunctions is obtained as a corollary. Their general fixed point results allow the authors to prove the existence of an equilibrium to a certain generalized game. Definition (of a generalized KKM mapping): \(F:X\multimap Y\) is a generalized KKM mapping with respect to \(T:X\multimap Y\) if for any finite set \(A=\{x_1,\ldots,x_n\}\subset X\), there is \(B=\{y_1,\ldots,y_n\}\subset X\) satisfying: (a) \(co(B)\subset X\), and (b) \(T(co\{y_i : i\in I\})\subset \bigcup_{i\in I} F(x_i)\) for any nonempty subset \(I\) of \(\{1,\ldots,n\}\).
