The goal of this paper is to study the existence of entire solutions to the following model problem: \[ -\Delta_x u= b(x) g(u),\quad x\in\mathbb{R}^N,\tag{1} \] \[ u> 0,\quad x\in\mathbb{R}^N,\tag{2} \] \[ \lim_{|x|\to\infty} u(x)= 0,\tag{3} \] where \(b(x)\) and \(g(\cdot)\) satisfy some appropriate conditions. Using sub-supersolutions and perturbation techniques, the author shows the existence of entire solutions to (1)--(2)--(3). Note that no monotonicity condition both on \(g(\cdot)\) and \(g(s)/s\) is assumed.
