The authors study the asymptotic behavior of solutions to the Cauchy problem of the subcritical dissipative nonlinear Schrödinger equation \(i\partial_t u = -\frac{1}{2}\Delta u + \lambda|u|^{p-1}u\), where \(1<p<1+2/n\), \(n\) being the spatial dimension, and \(\lambda\) is a complex constant satisfying Im \(\lambda<0\). Their results extend known ones when \(p>1+2/n\) or \(\lambda\) is real, as well as those for the critical case \(p=1+2/n\). More specifically, they establish time decay estimates and large-time asymptotics of solutions when \(n\leq 3\), \(p\) is sufficiently close to \(1+2/n\) and the initial data is sufficiently small.
