The authors consider closed curves \(C\cong \mathbb{C}^*\) lying in the affine plane, such that their asymptote is good. They classify these curves up to automorphisms of the plane. As stated in the introduction, this paper is part of a project to describe all closed embeddings of \(\mathbb{C}^*\) into \(\mathbb{C}^2\).
