A rational function \(P/Q\) from \({\mathbb A}^d\) to \({\mathbb P^1}\) defines a locally trivial fibration outside a finite set in the image, and gives rise to a well-defined Milnor fibre. In analogy with the polynomial case a motivic Milnor fibre is defined, and a motivic bifurcation set.
