Let \(\alpha\) be an irrational angle in \(\mathbb{T}^1\) and \(D_{\delta}\) an open disc centered at \(0\) and with radius \(\delta\). Let \(F: \mathbb{T} \times D_{\delta} \rightarrow \mathbb{T}^1\times \mathbb{C}\) be a fibered holomorphic map given by \(F(\theta, z)= (\theta+\alpha, f_{\theta}(z))\) such that \(f_{\theta}(0)=0\) and \(f_{\theta}\) univalent, for all \(\theta \in \mathbb{T}^1\). Thus the zero section is an invariant curve under \(F\). Such invariant curve is said to be indifferent if \[ \int_{\mathbb{T}^1}\, \log|\partial_z f_{\theta}(0)| d\theta =0. \] In addition, it is also assumed that the map \(\theta \rightarrow \partial_z f_{\theta}(0)\) is homotopic to a constant in \(\mathbb{C}\setminus \{ 0\}\), or the curve is a zero degree invariant curve. Under these hypotheses, one can define the fibered rotation number associated with this invariant curve as follows: \[ \rho_{T} (F)= \frac{1}{2\pi \, i} \int_{\mathbb{T}^1} \log \partial_z f_{\theta}(0)\, d\theta. \] This is a real number representing the average rotation speed of the dynamics around the referred curve. The author then proves several results about the fibered rotation number. The main result in the paper establishes that the fibered rotation number associated with an indifferent invariant curve for a fibered holomorphic map is a topological invariant.
