The paper addresses a very specific and important aspect of the interacting electron quantum theory. The electron dressed by a photon cloud, in a manner of speaking, the polaron, is formally treated in a rigorous manner. The spectral analysis is then performed revealing a profound respect to the mathematical foundations of the quantum field theory. The investigation is careful, robust and well written. The main achievement is to demonstrate that, provided the infrared regularization and the existence of the polaron lowest energy then the dressed particle state exists.
