Solution for systems of difference equations of rational form of order two (Q2514083)

This paper studies the forms and the periodicity of the solutions of the systems of rational difference equations of order two \[ x_{n+1}=\frac{x_ny_{n-1}}{y_n(\pm1+x_ny_{n-1})},\;\;y_{n+1}=\frac{y_nx_{n-1}}{x_n(\pm1\pm y_nx_{n-1})}, \] with initial conditions \(x_{-1},\;x_0,\;y_{-1}\) and \(y_0\) are nonzero real numbers. The first section is devoted to literature review and introduction. The main results of the paper are in the second section. The author gives a series of theorems that provide the forms of the solutions of the above difference systems with different combinations of plus or minus sign in the equations. The author also obtains two theorems of the periodicity of the solutions. Five examples and figures are given to illustrate these new results.
