Let \(H_1\) and \(H_2\) be two real Hilbert spaces. Let \(D\) and \(Q\) be nonempty, closed and convex subsets of \(H_1\) and \(H_2\), respectively, and let \(A : H_1 \rightarrow H_2\) be a bounded linear operator. The split feasibility problem consists in finding \(z\in H_1\) such that \[ z\in D\cap A^{-1}Q. \] Given two finite families of set-valued mappings, \(A_i :H1\rightarrow 2^{H_1}\), \(1\leq i\leq m\), and \(B_j:H_2\rightarrow 2^{H_2}\), \(1\leq j\leq n\), respectively, and a finite family of bounded linear operators \(T_j:H_1\rightarrow H_2\), \(1\leq j\leq n\), the \textit{split common null point problem} consists in finding a point \(z\in H_1\) such that \[ z\in \left(\bigcap_{i=1}^{m}A^{-1}_i Q0\right)\cap \left(\bigcap_{j=1}^{n}T^{-1}_j (B^{-1}0)\right). \] In the paper under review, the author considers the split common null point problem with resolvents of maximal monotone operators in Banach spaces. By using the metric resolvents of maximal monotone operators and the metric projections, he proves a strong convergence theorem for finding a solution of the split null point problem in Banach spaces.
