The authors propose a ratio-dependent predator-prey model with a disease in prey population and Allee effect for a susceptible prey population described by a system of three nonlinear differential equations in three variables corresponding to susceptible prey, infected prey, and predator. The positivity and boundedness of solutions are discussed along with the analysis of equilibria and their stability in the cases of strong and weak Allee effect. Using the survival threshold for Allee effect as a bifurcation parameter, the authors carry out an analysis which reveals stability switches and a Hopf bifurcation in a neighborhood of the interior equilibrium point. In the final part of the paper, theoretical results are illustrated with the help of numerical simulations; some conclusions regarding biological implications are also drawn.
