The work present the proof (obtained by way of contradiction) of the uniqueness of positive solutions, which have a shape of multiple peaks, for the non-linear Schrödinger equation \[ -\epsilon^2\Delta u+V(x)u=| u|^{p-2}u, \] where \(u\in H^1(\mathbb R^N)\) with \(N\leq 3\), \(2<p<2N/(N-2)\). Such kind of equations can arise in the problems of non-linear optics. Their multipeak solutions correspond to the localization of field variables originated from the form of the non-linear term. In addition, the considered case of small \(\epsilon\) is related to the quasi-classic solutions of the Schrödinger equation and can be useful from the point of view of a discussion of transitions between quantum and macroscopic phenomena.
