The author studies the regularity of solutions to the fully nonlinear thin obstacle problem, the so called Signorini problem. In a previous paper, \textit{E. Milakis} and \textit{L. Silvestre} [Adv. Math. 217, No. 3, 1301--1312 (2008; Zbl 1132.35025)] proved \(C^{1, \alpha}\) regularity on each side of the smooth obstacle, for some small \(\alpha>0\), assuming the symmetry of the operators and of the solutions and suitable assumptions on the boundary data. Here, the author removes both these conditions: he does not assume solutions nor operators to be symmetric, and his estimates are local, in the sense that do not rely on the boundary data. As a consequence, the solution is \(C^{1, \alpha}\) even when the problem is posed in general Lipschitz domains.
