The authors analyze the Einstein-Bolzmann system with Bianchi I symmetry which occurs in theoretical cosmology in order to predict the future of cosmological systems. They start from the Einstein-Vlasov system. They then introduce the Bianchi symmetry and the collision operator in the Minkowski case. They finally obtain the Einstein-Bolzmann system which consists of evolution equations for the metric \(g_{ab}\) and for the second fundamental form \(k_{ab}\) and of Bolzmann equation for the distribution function \(f\). The authors then establish properties of the collision operator. The main parts of the paper prove the existence of global-in-time solutions to this Einstein-Bolzmann system. The authors first assume that the distribution function is given and satisfies appropriate hypotheses. They prove the existence of a unique classical solution \(g_{ab}\).\ They then prove the existence of a solution to Bolzmann equation for given \(g_{ab}\) and its inverse \(g^{ab}\) satisfying different hypotheses. They conclude their paper with an existence result for the whole Einstein-Bolzmann system with Bianchi I symmetry.
