Weierstrass semigroups from Kummer extensions (Q2396761)

The paper under review deals with the Weierstrass semigroup of \(l\)-tuple rational places over arbitrary Kummer extensions. Its objective is to get the minimal generating set of such Weierstrass semigroup, which is obtained in Section 3 by means of the very technical Theorems 9 and 10. This result extends those of \textit{A. S. Castellanos} et al. [IEEE Trans. Inf. Theory 62, No. 9, 4867--4872 (2016; Zbl 1359.94825)] who described the Weierstrass semigroups for one and two rational places, as well as those of Matthews who considered some specific Kummer extensions. The authors point out that these results are useful in order to construct algebraic geometric codes.
