In this paper, the \(T\)-transitivity property of two types of fuzzy similarity measures (introduced in [\textit{Y. Li} et al., Fuzzy Sets Syst. 234, 46--60 (2014; Zbl 1315.03096)]) is studied, where \(T\) is the Łukasiewicz triangular norm \(T_L\). \(T_L\)- and \(T_P\)-transitivity of fuzzy similarity measures are interesting due to their correspondence with pseudo-metrics (cf. [\textit{B. De Baets} and \textit{R. Mesiar}, J. Fuzzy Math. 5, No. 2, 471--481 (1997; Zbl 0883.04007)]). In this paper, it is shown that the first considered type of a similarity measure is constructed by a fuzzy equivalence, i.e., a reflexive, symmetric and \(T_L\)-transitive fuzzy connective on the unit interval \([0,1]\). As a result, the fuzzy similarity measure satisfies \(T_L\)-transitivity if the corresponding fuzzy equivalence satisfies \(T_L\)-transitivity. The authors considered several examples as well as some general results concerning \(T_L\)-transitive fuzzy equivalencies. In order to prove that a fuzzy equivalence \(E\) satisfies \(T_L\)-transitivity it is enough to prove that the triangle inequality holds, i.e. \(d(x,y)+d(y,z) \geq d(x,z)\) for \(x \leq y \leq z\), where \(d\) is the corresponding dissimilarity function of \(E\). For a fuzzy similarity measure that satisfies \(T_L\)-transitivity, it appears that \(T_L\)-transitivity is related to the concept of the triangle inequality for \(D\), where \(D\) is its corresponding fuzzy divergence measure. The \(T_L\)-transitivity of the second type of fuzzy similarity measures considered in the paper depends on the range of its parameter. In the contribution, \(T_L\)-transitive fuzzy similarity measures are also obtained by aggregating a family of \(T_L\)-transitive fuzzy similarity measures.
