This work addresses the mathematical aspects of a predator-prey model (Leslie's), which takes into account effects of cross-diffusion, existence of a protection zone for prey and a sensitivity of the prey carrying capacity to the population pressure from the predator species. In particular, the analysis evaluated is focused on the positive stationary solution of the Leslie model: a stability of trivial and semitrivial solutions, bifurcation structure and asymptotic behaviour of positive solutions.
