For planar Sinai billiards with finite horizon a finite-dimensional distribution of billiard processes is considered, i.e., the joint distribution of a sequence~\({T^kx,k\in I}\), with finite index set~\(I.\) The main result of the article is the functional correlation bound on the distance between the finite-dimensional distribution and some product distribution. The authors show that such a result helps to deduce different statistical properties of billiards, such as estimating multiple correlations, estimating the speed of convergence in normal approximation using Stein's or Pène's methods, obtaining almost sure invariance principles using Gouëzel's method. The authors believe that the presented results can be relevant in the study of dispersing billiard dynamics.
