Summary: We consider the equations involving the one-dimensional \(p\)-Laplacian \((P):(|u'(t)|^{p-2} u'(t))' + \lambda f(u(t)) = 0\), \(0 < t < 1\), and \(u(0) = u(1) = 0,\) where \(p > 1, \lambda > 0, f \in C^1(\mathbb{R}; \mathbb{R}), f(s) s > 0\), and \(s \neq 0\). We show the existence of sign-changing solutions under the assumptions \(f_\infty =\lim_{|s| \to \infty} (f(s)/s^{p-1}) = +\infty\) and \(f_0 = \lim_{|s|\to 0}(f(s) / s^{p - 1}) \in [0, \infty]\). We also show that \((P)\) has exactly one solution having specified nodal properties for \(\lambda \in(0, \lambda^*)\) for some \(\lambda^* \in(0, \infty)\). Our main results are based on quadrature method.
