For a projective variety \(X\) over an algebraically closed field \(k\), a coherent sheaf \(G\) on \(X\) simultaneously generates \(r\)-jets if for any collection of (not necessarily distinct) closed points \(x_1,\dots,x_{r+1}\) of \(X\) the canonical morphism from \(H^0(X,G)\) to \(H^0(X,G\otimes \mathcal {O}_X/m_{x_1}m_{x_2}\cdots m_{x_{r+1}})\) is surjective. The authors first consider an ample and globally generated line bundle \(L\) on \(X\), and show that \(F\otimes L^{\otimes r}\) simultaneously generates \(r\)-jets, where \(F\) is a \(0\)-regular coherent sheaf with respect to \(L\), and then use this to obtain a Fujita-type result: if \(X\) is smooth, then \(\omega_X\otimes \mathcal {O}_X(D)\otimes A \otimes L^m\) simultaneously generates \(r\)-jets, where \(D\) is a normal crossing divisor on \(X\), \(A\) is an ample line bundle on \(X\), and \(m\geq \dim(X)+r\). Those methods are independent of \(\mathrm{char}(k)\). Several old and new applications are presented as corollaries.
