Let \(X\) be a topological space, \(A\subset X\) be such that \(\dim_X V\leq n+1\) for every \(V\subset X\smallsetminus A\) which is a cozero set in \(X\), \(Y\) be a complete metric space and let \(F:X\to Y\) be a closed-valued multifunction such that \(\{F(x): x\in X\smallsetminus A\}\) is uniformly \(\text{equi-LC}^n\). Also, let \(g:A\to Y\) be a selection for \(F| A\) such that \(F_g:= g\cap(A\times Y)\cup F\cap [(X\smallsetminus A)\times Y]\) is strongly lower semi-factorizable. Then \(g\) can be extended to a continuous selection for \(F| U\) for some cozero set \(U\supset A\). If \(F(x)\) in \(\text{C}^n\) for every \(x\in X\smallsetminus A\), then one can take \(U=X\). This theorem leads to several generalizations of \textit{E. Michael}'s results [Ann. Math., II. Ser. 64, 562-580 (1956; Zbl 0073.17702)], the Dugundji extension theorem, etc.
