    This nicely written paper deals with some aspects of the geometric structure of Banach algebras of holomorphic functions and their dual spaces. More precisely, given a Banach space \(E\), it is shown that the dual spaces of \(\mathcal{H}^\infty(B_E)\) (bounded holomorphic functions on the open unit ball of \(E\)) and \(\mathcal{A}_u(B_E)\) (the closed subspace of \(\mathcal{H}^\infty(B_E)\) formed by the functions that are uniformly continuous on \(B_E\)) do not have weak*-strongly exposed points. This result allows the author to show that \(\mathcal{H}^\infty(V)\) and \(\mathcal{A}_u(V)\) have the Daugavet property for any bounded open balanced convex subset \(V\) of the Banach space \(E\). It is also proved that the set of norm-attaining vector-valued weak* uniformly continuous holomorphic functions on the open unit ball of a dual Banach space is dense if its predual space has the metric \(\pi\)-property. Besides, the author obtains results on the reflexivity of \(\mathcal{P}(^N E;F)\), the space of \(N\)-homogeneous polynomials between the Banach spaces \(E\) and \(F\), relating it to the existence of non norm-attaining elements in \(\mathcal{P}(^N E;F)\). For instance, it is deduced from the results obtained that \(\mathcal{P}(^N E;F)\) is reflexive provided that \(F\) is reflexive and \(E\) has the compact approximation property. Furthermore, topological conditions are given which imply that a Banach space \(E\) is not polynomially reflexive. This extends previously known results by replacing the approximation property for \(E\) by the compact approximation property.
