The author extends the averaging method to a rather general quasilinear parabolic equation of arbitrary order \(2k\) with variable principal part in \(\mathbb{R}^m\) for arbitrary \(m\in\mathbb{N}\). The Cauchy problem is considered. First, the author proves solvability of the perturbed problem on the time interval \([0,T]\) for a sufficiently large asymptotic parameter \(\omega\), where the averaging problem has a solution. Moreover, the author provides a ground for asymptotic proximity of solutions and their spatial derivatives up to order \(2k\) in Hölder norms to the Cauchy problem and averaging problem in the case when the initial function and its (up to order \(2k\)) derivatives satisfy the Hölder conditions. Next, in the particular case of linear problems with initial data in \(C^{\gamma_0}(\mathbb{R}^m)\), asymptotic proximity is proven for solutions in the norm of \(C^{\gamma_1/2k}\bigl([0,T], C^{\gamma_1}(\mathbb{R}^m)\bigr)\). The rest part of the article is devoted to the global solvability of the perturbed equation in the case when the initial data belong to the space \(C^{s - 1 + \gamma_0}(\mathbb{R}^m)\). Finally, the author discusses the asymptotic behavior of solutions to the averaging problem under sufficiently large values of \(\omega\) and to the original problem.
