Nonexistence criteria for positive solutions of a nonlinear recurrence relation (Q1900297)

The authors derive several criteria for nonexistence of eventually positive solutions of a class of nonlinear recurrence relations \[ \Delta(y_n- p_n y_{n-\sigma})+q_n f(y_{n- \delta})\leq 0,\quad n= 0, 1,2,\dots.\tag{\(*\)} \] These criteria are then used to obtain oscillation criteria for the nonlinear neutral difference equation associated with \((*)\).
