The paper studies the classification of \(SU(2)\)-cocycles over an irrational rotation up to the cohomology relation between cocycles. It is shown the existence of an invariant called the fiber rotation number. By means of this invariant it is given a criterion of \(C^ 0\)-equivalence of a cocycle to a constant one. The results apply to the classification of linear differential and difference equations with quasiperiodic coefficients.
