A new identity for the sum of products of the generalized basic hypergeometric functions (Q6098220)

The present paper is a good contribution in the field of basic hypergeometric series. The introduction provides a comprehensive overview of the importance and relevance of generalized basic hypergeometric series in various branches of pure and applied mathematics. Then the authors establish some duality relations for the generalized basic hypergeometric functions to get a \(q\)-extension of a recent identity for the Heine's \(_2\Phi_1\) function due to \textit{Y. Suzuki} [``Transformation formulas and three-term relations for basic hypergeometric series'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:1803.03110}]. The authors explain various consequences of the established identity. Among them several presumably new multi-term relations for both terminating and non-terminating series are derived. Finally they provide several confluent versions of the obtained results and discuss a number of explicit examples. The paper can be quite interesting and useful for researchers working in the field of generalized basic hypergeometric series.
