In image processing, pansharpening refers to the super resolution of a low-resolution multispectral image in virtue of an aligned panchromatic image. A framelet sparse reconstruction method for pansharpening is proposed. The authors develop a proximal alternating minimization-based solving algorithm for the proposed nonconvex regularization model and prove that the algorithm globally converges to a critical point under certain assumptions. The effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated by some numerical experiments on reducted-resolution and full-resolution datasets.
