A general kinematical theory of a continua with an interface is briefly presented. The case of perfect fluids with a fluid membrane is considered. The local equations of balance, jump and boundary conditions, and the consequences of the Clausius-Duhem inequality are obtained. In the case of impermeable interface, one of the jump conditions extends the Gibbs condition for the equilibrium in the phase transitions. Interesting results are obtained for the equilibrium of two phase systems. The Gibbs law for the plane or curved interface is obtained if the body force is absent.
