The monoidal center construction and bimodules (Q5936013)

Given a monoid \(a\) in a monoidal category \({\mathcal C}\), the paper gives conditions under which (a) the centre \(Z(_a{\mathcal C}_a)\) of the monoidal category \(_a{\mathcal C}_a\) of left \(a\)-, right \(a\)-bimodules is equivalent to the centre \(Z({\mathcal C})\) of \({\mathcal C}\), and, (b) when \(a\) is a commutative monoid in \(Z({\mathcal C})\), the centre \(Z({\mathcal C}_a)\) of the monoidal category \({\mathcal C}_a\) of right \(a\)-modules in \({\mathcal C}\) is equivalent to the braided monoidal category dys\(Z({\mathcal C})_a\) of dyslectic right \(a\)-modules in \(Z({\mathcal C})\) [for the notion of dyslexia see \textit{B.
